We hope you have a wonderful Halloween. Here are some tips to help you and your family enjoy Halloween this year without any added guilt.
Be selective - while candy is generally not necessarily good for you, there are some better choices then others. Try to pick candy that has less sugar and won’t stick to your teeth.
Moderation is key - teach your kids about moderate early on, only allow 1-2 pieces of candy per day.
Eat first - before you venture out to trick-or-treat, make sure to eat a well-balanced meal.
Keep hydrated - encourage your children to keep taking sips of water in between their treats. This will help to wash down all of the bad bacteria they may have floating in their mouth.
Brush, floss, repeat - it’s extra important to brush and floss all that candy and sugar away!
To set up your post-Halloween dental cleaning call 410-672-3501 or email FieldsFamilyDental@gmail.com. Have a Happy Halloween!!
Do you want to straighten your teeth? Braces are one way to get straighter teeth. Traditional orthodontics requires brackets and wires, which effectively move the teeth into position. Braces are not your only option for improving your smile.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign uses clear retainers to move your teeth without the need for metal brackets and wires. Invisalign consists of a series of clean plastic aligners, which move your teeth by putting pressure and guiding the teeth into a new position. The aligners fit your teeth so closely that they are nearly invisible.
What problems can Invisalign fix?
Invisalign can fix most orthodontic problems including:
Crowded or crooked teeth
Spacing or gaps
Crossbite (when your lower teeth do not fit inside the upper teeth, instead, the lower tooth or teeth are sit outside the upper teeth)
Deep overbite (when upper front teeth completely cover the lower teeth)
